when it comes to food, zi lin has gone fishing seems to be completely controlled by her id. and then her ego makes her regret it completely later by forcing her superego to make her exercise.

managed to find a place to stay next semester, really excited about my new place! (: i have so many plans, and i could not stop myself from saying this and that about the house to zr – like “i can take 18 to safeway!” and like “hm can stop at tully’s for hot chocolate on the way home!” and all sorts of things.

 

heh it is a small room but it makes me feel cozy and nice (: PLUS it has lots of light.

i like. 

in other news, i have been having some thoughts. awkward thoughts. what is it like to 

sigh i decided it is too hard to put it into words without revealing too much. which brings me to the question of the purpose of blogging. blogging  is supposed to be an avenue to put down your thoughts, but then again, the fact that it is public is already a supreme form of censorship. well in a sense i do believe you could always put down whatever you want since it is after all your blog, but there always remains this thought that there is an image of yourself that you want to project to the world, and to your friends. people have expectations of you, and you have expectations of yourself. there are costs involved in not acting in the way people expect you to, imagine if one just acts according to your impulses – how erratic your behavior can be! people around you will thus be unable to understand the way you click, and in failing to conceive of you as similar to them, you lose your friends. 

well but then again people seem to say that they are intrigued by people who always surprise them. 

going back to blogging, i guess most of the times i blog cause i want to get opinions. perhaps it is not always a direct plea for comments, but it is sometimes nice to get ideas from people in certain subjects. 

except the fact is that it has been long i have had a fully developed idea, unlike before.

i need to blog more often – just don’t have the flow in blogging anymore.

sigh.

i’ve never really been a religious person, despite the fact that my mum is so strong in her convictions in the family religion. but today, i think i really understood “举头望明月，低头思故乡”… walking back after exercise at rsf, i really looked up and saw the full moon. and the first thought that popped into my head was “今天是初十五吗 ? 妈妈应该在拜拜吧。”
